I've spent my last couple of summers working at a family owned retail business called Swim Gem. Swim Gem is a pool supply company. It has certainly been an interesting experience. It is a horrible job. The customers are unlike any other. In most retail places people have some idea of what they are doing, it is not the case in the pool supply industry. People who come in our store have no idea how to operate a pool or what they want. Instead they yell at us and treat us like crap. It is not fun.
